The 75th anniversary of Barrios in Brussels.

This Barrios Festival was to commemorate the fact that Agustín Barrios performed in Brussels in November 1934.

While during the time spent in Europe he must have performed in various countries like Germany and Spain, the Brussels performance is at this moment the only one of which information has been found.



During this festival people could attend recitals, master classes, lectures, an exposition of Barrios guitars and manuscripts, and a film projection.
Artists from all over the world did cooperate.


Raphaëlla Smits gave a master class on Saturday November 7, 2009 from 11 a.m. thru 1 p.m. in the executive room at the Flagey building.


Raphaella gave a recital "From Bach to Barrios" on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in Studio1 of the Flagey building.
